Saturday 22nd June 2013: International Helmet Awareness Day 12. June 2013 Jillian.Deane@robinsonsequestrian.com News (0) If you’re an equestrian you may already know that Saturday 22nd June is the date of this year’s Riders4Helmets International Helmet Awareness Day. The International Helmet Awareness Day is an annual campaign focusing on the importance of wearing a helmet while horse riding. The campaign was started three years ago after the fall of US Olympic dressage rider Courtney King-Dye, who wasn’t wearing a riding hat when she came off, was in a coma for a month after the accident and is still undergoing rehabilitation. The campaign aims to educate equestrians on the advantages of wearing a well fitted, secured and certified riding hat. To coincide with this very worthy campaign, when you purchase your riding hat or riding skull from Robinsons between Wednesday 12th June and Sunday 23rd June, we’ll deduct 10% from the price of your new helmet! This offer is available at any of our four stores (where the 10% discount will be applied at the tills) and also via our website (simply make your purchase and then input the code SCB613 into the ‘promotional codes’ box which can be found at the bottom of your online shopping trolley. The discount will then be applied). So, if you haven’t replaced your riding hat following a fall, are wearing a riding hat that is more than 5 years old, or you’re wearing a riding hat you think might not fit you properly, this is your chance to purchase a new one at a discounted price!
